In general, derivative works such as fan art, cosplay, and merchandise are permitted! I really appreciate your creativity and I may use any derivative works you created as stream thumbnails, on social media, etc.

 

What is "derivative work"?

Derivative works are activities that add new creativity to the original content to create a new work of authorship. In other words, copying the content is not considered derivative creative activity, and any products created as a result of such activities are not subject to these guidelines.

Examples of activities that do not fall under the category of derivative works:

• Copying and pasting an illustration of an official character directly onto a can badge or other merchandise, and publishing or selling it.

• An act of only adding arrangements that anyone can think of, such as trimming or changing color tones

Examples of derivative works:

• Adding personal and original arrangements to official Lesser Pain characters, and publishing and selling them.

Individuals wishing to sell or monetize derivative works must follow the guidelines below:

• Please refrain of using or selling fan works of other creators that are not your own or your own work, unless you have prior consent to do so.

• Please do not create or sell products similar to those officially produced by RedPan.

• Please be sure to clearly state that the works are unofficial and not directly related to the official RedPan.

• The use of the RedPan logo on merchandise is not permitted.

• Please ensure that merchandise is sold directly to the consumer; please do not sell through large corporations such as Amazon, Etsy, Shopify, etc.

• Selling merchandise for non-commercial purposes or charity is fine.

• A cutout or highlight clips are welcome to use on any SNS.

• Please note that we are not responsible for any trouble that may occur between you and a third party over your derivative activities.
